Hi, my name is Rusty. I have had a rough time in my young life. I was turned into the APA when I was about 8 months old, an older man adopted me and said I was too much for him. Then I was placed with what appeared to be a very nice family, and they moved and left me abandoned in the house with my Doberman sister Sequioa, 4 cats and several birds. The birds all died, the cats went to AC in Alton with Sequioa. They were able to get Sequioa out right away but I had to go to another facility because I was so emaciated they did not think I would live. I was very scared I had lost my whole family and did not know what was going on. After 7 days they let the Doberman Rescue people come get me and I was sure glad to see them. I am healthy and happy now. I am in a foster home with two children ages 10 and 13, another Dobie Boy, Zeus and a cat. I do well with everyone. I do have hypothyroidism which means I take one pill a day, and it's very inexpensive. I am a carrier of Von Willibrandt's which means I should never be bred, but I am neutered so that is not a problem. Please think about adding me to your family, Sequioa has a new home, and I sure hope that I get one too. I am housebroken and crate trained and get along with everyone. I will be two years old in March and sure would like to be in my Forever Home for my birthday.
